Taiwan in Virtual Reality

This course focuses on the impact of VR and AR applications on future technology and lifestyles, while exploring the relationships among immersion, imagination, interaction, and human psychological cognition. The course covers graphic-based VR/AR, image-based VR/AR, and mixed reality.This project reimagines Taiwan as an island seen through my eyes during my stay there. Inspired by the island’s fish-like shape, I designed it accordingly and created a marine-themed environment, incorporating photos I personally took, fish-shaped figures, and vivid impressions from my trip. These photos were transformed into bright photo collages mapped onto 3D objects, allowing viewers to explore the platform interactively and discover the images embedded within the 3D forms.
